The refurbishment of the project entailed changing all internal lighting, adding a dimmer pack controls to give full control of different mood lighting levels. New external festoon lights and building lighting has transformed the wow factor when arriving. New USB sockets have been added to areas for charging points.
The kitchen has been transformed into a Faraday all electric kitchen, which all the cook line being put on an emergency stop system.
The back of house lighting has been changed to LED lights complete with built-in PIR’s.
With the removal of the existing gas supply to kitchen equipment and changing to a Faraday all electric kitchen reduces the pub’s carbon footprint.
All lighting both internal and external are LED these have a low heat emission output and do not waste energy making it more efficient and environmentally friendly. The dimmer system installed allows full control of the lighting throughout the pub and also adds to the life span of the bulbs, meaning fewer bulb replacements and less waste, aligning with sustainable and eco-friendly practice.
The refurbishment of this project is in line with FY25 MAB sustainability.
The removal of gas to the kitchen and changing to an all-electric cook line reduces the carbon footprint for the premises.

Mechanical
- The gas supply to the kitchen was securely capped to facilitate the installation of the new kitchen infrastructure. A comprehensive purge and pressure test was conducted on the remaining gas system throughout the property to verify its integrity and compliance with safety standards.
- Radiators specified in the project documentation were replaced or decommissioned as required. Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) were installed in accordance with the client’s detailed specifications to optimise temperature control and energy efficiency.
