Having successful completed enabling works to create a temporary ambulance area, treatment rooms, and Resus area, the refurbishment and extension to the ED department at Russell’s Hall Hospital has now commenced.
The main project works due to complete towards the end of 2025, are to form a new Resus area and bereavement suite, which include new electrical HV/LV switch rooms and roof top plant rooms.
Whilst maintaining the existing hospital in operation, new M&E services are to be installed and integrated with the existing systems which remain in use.
M&E services being undertaken by EHH include the diversion of existing external M&E services, and complete new installations of:
- New 500 kVA Transformer and RMU and HV cable diversion
- 2 New 550 kVA generators
- Lightning Perfection and HV/LV Earthing
- New Main Switch Panels and LV Distribution
- Complete lighting and power systems
- New IPS/UPS
- Medical Earthing
- Medical trunkings
- Nurse Call systems
- Fire Alarm and Security systems
- Voice and Data Structured cabling
- New roof mounted AHU’s and ventilation systems
- Fire and Smoke control damper systems
- Incoming Mains Water
- MCWS, BCWS and HWS Installation
- Steam pipework
- Domestic Hot Water Generation plant
- Low Temperature Hot Water Generation and distribution
- Medical Gases
- Pneumatic tubes systems
- DX / VRV systems
- BMS control systems
